Aaron_Wellman-CoachAaron Wellman - NY Giants Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

Aaron Wellman is in his third season as the Giants’ strength and conditioning coach and third in the NFL following a 20-year career at the Division I collegiate level.

A native of Ligonier, Indiana, Wellman was a four-year member of the Manchester (Indiana) College football team. He earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 1996. Wellman added separate master’s degrees from Indiana University in applied sport science (1998) and nutrition science (2009).

Wellman is a registered master strength and conditioning coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA), a certified strength and conditioning specialist and personal trainer by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a specialist in performance nutrition by the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).

University programs he worked with: University of Notre Dame, University of Michigan, San Diego State University, Ball State University, Indiana University and Michigan State University.

Scotty empowers a winning team, one individual at a time. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Scotty brings extensive experience to his position as Director of Sports Performance. His impressive background consists of management and high-level coaching for a variety of sport performance entities.

An athlete himself, Scotty played NCAA Division III football and basketball while attending TCNJ. He knows how to execute a winning play and train a winning player. This hands-on knowledge adds the wow-factor to each of his client’s results.

“My goal is to help every athlete achieve his or her potential, whether six years old or a professional player,” Scotty shares. He applies his experience to all aspects of the Sports Performance Program, where everyone trains like a winner.
