Programs at the Sports Performance Center

As a coach or athletic director, your responsibility is to provide your team with the tools and education to maximize their likelihood of winning.

The Sports Performance Center at HackensackUMC Fitness & Wellness Powered by the Giants provides an advanced comprehensive training philosophy for your athletes of all ages and skill levels. The programs we implement for your team are validated through meticulous research and literature composed by the world’s greatest strength and conditioning specialists.

A large part of our program focuses on your athlete’s development through preparatory education on proper eating habits, daily preparation, lifestyle choices, mental development, as well as proper technique within the training facility. We will train your athletes to execute patterns of motion in proper and proficient ways. The training protocols are implemented with the ideal balance of volume, intensity, sets, reps, and most importantly rest intervals. This allows your athlete to develop a rapid response to adaptation principals.

This is an excellent option for an athlete who needs to receive additional personalized focus on performance. This is also an excellent option if the athlete is preparing for an event in the distant future. Individual training plans can be written for months and years, supplying the precise taper for the event that the athlete demands.

Small Group Training:

This is a viable option if you want teammates to prepare together, while receiving the benefits of one-on-one training, to ensure they all are game-day ready.

Team Training:

  • 8-12 Athletes

  • 13-24 Athletes

  • 25-36 Athletes

This option is the preferred mode of training for most sports teams, as it helps to build cohesion within the entire team while facilitating a heightened sense of competition.
